NIU Huskies season preview-Part 3-Last 4 games

Things get kicked up a bit for two of the last last four (hopefully 5) weeks of the Huskies season. They have games against EMU, Ball State, Ohio, and CMU.
Week 9-EMU: We shut out Eastern last year 37-0, and they haven't made any huge improvements.  Eastern has a hard schedule before Northern with games against BSU, CMU, and Northwestern. Result Analysis: Huskies take this one, maybe in shutout fashion like last year.
Week 10-Ball State: Ball State lost their QB to the draft, but are still a good team. They also lost a great coach to San Diego State. They still have a reasonable team, but won't repeat as MAC west champions. the Huskies fell 54-15 last year against the Cardinals. Result analysis: The Huskies and Cardinals will fight this one out, perhaps into overtime.
Week 11-Ohio: Last year Ohio had a 4-8 season,  with 12 returning starters, including 8 seniors.  The Bobcats had the worst amount of turnovers, with 31.  their worst blowout of last season was a 28-3 crushing by Bowling Green.  This year, however,  they have a somewhat easy schedule, with it's hardest games this year coming against Uconn, Buffalo, Ball State, and NIU. Result analysis: Huskies will win, seeing they can block a team with a leading sacker with 3.5 sacks.
Week 12-Central Michigan:  The Chippewas will be no easy task, considering they have the Number 1 QB, Receivers (WRs and TEs),  DL, and LBs in the MAC, according to Althon Sports Magazine. They have the benefits of a  home game and will probably already be red hot. Result analysis: Chippewas will take this one, as well as the MAC championship.

Illinois Intra-state Football

There are 3  D1 inrta-Illinois foot ball games this year however , only 1 of those is at FBS level. Northern plays Western, Illinois plays State, and, of course the overrated Northwester VS. Illinois towards the end of the season. there is a look at each FBS team's record in IL , and analysis:
Northern Illinois (1-0): They are playing the week 2 game against Western Illinois, any easy win, although the Leathernecks could still have  a good season.
Illinois (1-1): Illinois has the game against ISU and then the B10 rivalry.  ISU shouldn't be too much to chew, an easy victory.  Northwestern should repeat in the Big 10 rivalry,  with a 27-10 win last year.
Northwestern (1-0): Northwestern has it easy in Illinois this, not playing the team from Dekalb. Northwestern has a game at Champaign, but will disappoint the crowd.

NIU season preview-Part 2-1st half MAC schedule

The Huskies start their MAC schedule with games against WMU, Toledo, Miami (Oh.), and Akron.
Week 5-WMU: The Huskies jump-start their in-conference schedule with what looks to be a tough game against the Broncos in Dekalb. last year the broncos took the game by a narrow 29-26 margin. the broncos have 8 returning starters on the offense, but only one on the other side of the ball. the Huskies are more even with 6 and 4 respectively. Result analysis: A hard fought game, I can't really tell who will come out on top, but it will be a good game.
Week 6-Toledo: Toledo lost 9 games last year, including a 37-8 bashing by Northern. The Rockets have a total of 16 returning starters. toledo also welcomes Tim Beckman, Oklahoma State's old DC, as their coach. Result analysis:  Huskies will repeat last years result in a Rocket bashing.
Week 7-Miami (Oh.): with only two wins last year, the RedHawks have an impossible schedule. Facing Cinci, WMU, Northwestern, and Boise State all before NIU. The game was to close for the huskies and almost gave miami a third win at 16-14. Result analysis: hopefully by al larger margin, A Huskies win.
Week 8-Akron: Akron with 5 wins last season, did not meet with Northern. The last tome they played was in the 2005 MAc championship, Akron won by a heartbreaking 31-30 final score. they have since then declined. with 14 returners that almost handed Mac Champion Buffalo a defeat, Akron should bae an easier task then '05. Result analysis: A Huskies win to be savored.
